Just push the Bud Trainer onto the root stock or below the new bud to be trained and it is gently held in fixed position parallel to the stem. The Bud Trainer snaps securely onto the stem and expands with the stem as long as it is needed to train the new bud. The proper compounding of the material used insures a secure, but non-girdling clamp that, left alone, is eventually pushed from the plant. |

A foot at the bottom of the clip keeps the bud from pushing the top of the Bud Trainer away from the stem as the young bud is developing. |
